| Question: | Can the Leland Legacy Sample Pump be used with the PEM for 24-hour sampling? |
| Answer: | Yes. The Leland Legacy Sample Pump may be used with the PEM at 10 L/min for 24-hour sampling when LOW back pressure filters, such as PTFE filter 225-1709, are used. The overall back pressure across the PEM/filter should not exceed 15 inches of water.
Note: Back pressure on PTFE filters can vary within the same lot.
Calibration
The PEM high flow sampling train creates a greater load for the constant flow Leland Legacy Sample Pump. To ensure successful calibration, use a recommended low back pressure filter, the calibration cap designed for the PEM (not a calibration jar), and consider that calibration devices such as calibrators and rotameters introduce additional back pressure to the total back pressure of the train. |
