The streamlined GASTEC GV100 precision piston pump uses a simple and accurate syringe-like technology to provide accurate and repeatable gas and vapor measurements. Designed for use with GASTEC grab sample detector tubes, one complete stroke of the piston pump draws a 100-ml air sample. The GV100 pump vacuum is not spring-assisted like "squeeze-type" pumps, which rely on the force of internal springs that can lose tension over time, resulting in slow strokes and reduced accuracy. The GV100 features a built-in tip breaker and a flow finish indicator on the back of the handle for easy, instantaneous viewing. Lightweight and ergonomically designed, the GV100 pump is constructed of corrosion-resistant and spark-resistant materials. The synthetic-rubber sheath allows the pump to be held firmly, even with wet rubber gloves.

One-Hand GV100 Pump Operation

The GV-700 adapter is used with the GV100 piston-style pump to provide convenient one-hand pump operation. The adapter uses a simple slide valve that opens and closes at the push of a button. Closing the valveprevents airflow into the pump and allows the user to pull back the pump handle without taking a sample. After the user has inserted an open tube in the pump, the sample is taken by opening the valve with another push of the button. The adapter can be left in the open position to allow normal use of the pump. The GV-700 one-hand adapter screws onto the pump and the tube holder screws onto the adapter. It's simple, accurate, and reliable just like the GV100 pump.

• To assure optimum accuracy, detector tube hand pumps of any brand should be checked for leaks on a regular basis.
  
  
• Detector tubes are factory- calibrated for a specific flow rate curve provided by a system's pump. Always use detector tubes with the pump(s) specified by the manufacturer. Interchanging brands of pumps and tubes can produce a significant reduction in accuracy.
