VOC Chek® 575 Passive Sampler, for ppm-Level Organic Vapors, Anasorb 747, pk/5 Overview

VOC Chek 575 Passive Sampler for ppm-level organic vapors, contains Anasorb 747, 500 mg, pk/5

Larger package sizes are available.

The Passive Sampler for Organic Vapors collects organic vapors without the use of a pump. The sampler is validated for short-term and eight-hour sampling and 24-hour indoor sampling for some compounds. Use the sampler to test exposure to VOCs such as toluene, tetrachloroethylene, trichloroethylene, xylenes, ethylbenzene, 2-butanone (MEK), hexone (MIBK), benzene, butyl acetates, and styrene. Models exclusive for ethylene oxide and methanol are also available.

SKC VOC Chek 575 Passive Samplers
Miniature VOC Chek 575 samplers collect organic vapors without the use of a pump. Individual chemicals simply diffuse from the atmosphere into the sampler at a fixed rate. SKC has scientifically validated the sampling rate of the VOC Chek 575 Series passive samplers along with other critical sampling parameters to meet OSHA/ASTM/ANSI requirements. SKC VOC Chek 575 Series Passive Samplers are identified as a viable alternative to active sampling in eight OSHA methods.

Full-shift Sampling with only ONE sampler

The Methanol Passive Sampler collects methanol for up to an 8-hour work shift with superior efficiency. The Methanol Passive Sampler overcomes the short sample times and sample migration concerns of active methods. These samplers are ideal for use in chemical, fuel, wastewater, and hydraulic fracking industries.

Using a VOC Chek Passive Sampler is easy as 1, 2, 3!

Validated to NIOSH Protocol 1

Validation
Passive sampling is quite different from active sampling with sorbent tubes. With this fact in mind, NIOSH established validation protocols for evaluating the performance of passive samplers. 1   Protocol validation was developed so that manufacturers could produce passive samplers that reliably assess airborne levels.

For compliance sampling, it is recommended that only passive samplers with full or bi-level validation be used. Passive samplers with lower levels of validation may be used only if verified by validated sorbent sample tube methods.

Validation Level

Full
Sampler passed stringent testing as outlined in NIOSH and ANSI protocols including desorption efficiency, relative humidity, temperature, concentration, sampling rate and capacity, reverse diffusion, and storage.

Bi-Level
The most volatile member of a related (homologous) series of chemicals has passed full validation; therefore, related less volatile series members require only partial validation to achieve the same level of sampling accuracy (see Guild et al. [DOI: 10.1080/1047322X.1992.10390161] or request a copy from SKC).

Partial
Passed NIOSH protocol for sampling rate, desorption efficiency, and storage stability.

(Not Validated) Calculated
This calculation of a sampling or uptake rate uses the diffusion coefficient of a specific chemical (D) and the cross-sectional area (A) and length (L) of the sampler’s diffusion path (based on sampler geometry).

OSHA
Sampler has been validated by OSHA and is referenced in a published OSHA method.
